How do you sell your trims?

All our trims are sold by the metre unless otherwise stated. We regularly add off cuts and end of roll items which will be priced individually dependant on length. Often these will be at a reduced price.

How old are your Vintage items?

Vintage is defined as being 25 years old or older. With trimmings it is hard to pin point exact ages but where possible I do state approximate age. All our vintage trims are carefully handwashed and pressed before sale.

What type of fabric do you sell?

All of the craft fabrics we sell in Fat Quarters are 100% cotton and are suitable for quilting, patchwork and general sewing. These fabrics are not upholstery weight.  We sometimes have vintage fabric for sale, all material content, where known, will be stated on individual items.

What is a fat quarter?

A fat quarter is a measurement of fabric, commonly used in quilting, but universally accepted as a way in which to measure fabric. One fat quarter measures approximately 18 x 22 inches/46 x 56 cm, including the selvedge.

What is a fat quarter bundle?

A bundle contains one fat quarter of every fabric shown in the photograph, unless otherwise stated. 

I don’t have Paypal, can I still make a purchase?

Yes of course. The checkout will take you to the Paypal payment screen but you can also pay by credit/debit card through this link. If you pay via Paypal and there is not enough money in your account, Paypal will take funds from your nominated bank account. This results in payment being made by ‘echeque’ which takes approximately one week to clear. Your order will not be sent until the echeque clears.

How long will it take for my order to arrive?

We use the second class signed for service with Royal Mail or a courier if it’s a larger order. Please see the Postage/International page for more information. For international packages we use Standard Airmail which can take up to three weeks depending on your location. Special express postage options are available on request.

We despatch your order as quickly as possible. When you order you will receive an automated confirmation email. When your item has been despatched, you will receive another email, containing a reminder of the item(s) you ordered.  Sometimes these emails go into your ‘junk mail’ folder so please check there before querying your order.

If you haven’t received your order and are concerned, please contact us so we can check on the delivery status. We can also provide you with the Royal Mail tracking number if you’d like to view this information. Please refrain from posting on facebook, twitter etc when querying an order as we would prefer not to discuss orders this way. Feel free to give us a call or send an email instead.
